When most people think of Las Vegas weddings, neon lights and bustling chapels come to mind. But A + C chose something far more intimate, personal, and breathtaking—a July elopement at Mt. Charleston, surrounded by the cool mountain breeze, towering pines, and a love story years in the making.
One day, A was driving down the road not wanting to go home. C was spending time at a bar mulling over his life and all of the things that had happened these last few weeks. A decided to stop at the bar she frequented with friends, but to go alone. Today, she says, if she wouldn’t have stopped at the bar there would be no A + C.
A + C’s story doesn’t start with a whirlwind romance—it begins with deep friendship. They met at a sports bar and grill while watching football, bonding over shared experiences of heartbreak. Both had been married their entire adult lives, only to face the pain of betrayal. From that day forward, they vowed to be each other’s safe place, a constant source of support through life’s toughest moments.
They showed up for each other again and again—no questions asked. When blind date horror stories became a running joke, A suddenly realized she didn’t want C to meet someone else. The thought of another person being his go-to support shook her. Nervous but hopeful, she told him she wanted to go on a date before they see anyone else. His response? Pure joy—he had been feeling the same way.
From there, their love deepened without ever losing the friendship foundation they promised to protect. A says it best: “He is my last first date… my last everything forever.”
July in Las Vegas can be scorching, but Mt. Charleston offers a serene escape just 45 minutes from the Strip. With its lush pine forests, crisp mountain air, and sweeping views, it’s the perfect spot for couples wanting nature without sacrificing convenience.
For A + C, the mountains represent peace—a place where they can soak in their vows without distractions. With Light Preserves Productions, Mari (photographer) and Fabian (officiant) craft a ceremony that blends romance, fun, and deep meaning.
A + C arrive in the mountains, surrounded by fresh alpine air and golden summer light filtering through the trees. They’ve chosen to write their own vows, speaking directly from the heart about their journey from friends to soulmates.
A’s original bouquet was damaged during travel. Knowing how much sunflowers mean to her because of her late brother, I decided to head to Gilcrease Orchard with my family to pick out some sunflowers personally for A. I hand them proudly to her when we meet on the mountain and she’s completely taken aback, exactly the reaction I’m going for. I’d do anything for our clients.
A + C’s elopement isn’t just about two people—it’s about creating a blended and blessed family. With six children between them, including four under 18, they’re excited for the future they’ll share together—raising kids, welcoming their first grandbaby, and cherishing every moment of laughter and love.
A looks forward to “soaking up every second” with C—whether that’s raising their children, enjoying quiet conversations, or simply being together in life’s everyday moments.
One of the biggest things they rave about? How stress-free and joyful their elopement morning feels. Mari and Fabian’s warmth, humor, and attention to detail make the day effortless. Amber says:
“They are two of the kindest, sweetest, most understanding people I’ve ever had the privilege of working with. They customized our elopement to everything we wanted, provided the least stressful morning to get married ever, and were full of love, laughter, and happiness.”
Their Mt. Charleston elopement feels natural, unrushed, and deeply personal—a celebration that truly reflects who they are as a couple.
Cooler temperatures compared to the desert floor
Scenic backdrops of pine forests and mountain peaks
Just 45 minutes from Las Vegas for convenience and accessibility
Ideal for couples who want intimacy without the Strip crowds
Whether you’re dreaming of an adventurous mountain ceremony or a simple, heartfelt vow exchange, Mt. Charleston offers the perfect canvas for your love story.
A + C’s Mt. Charleston elopement in July proves that Las Vegas weddings aren’t one-size-fits-all. With the right location, intentional planning, and the perfect team, you can create a day that’s authentic, stress-free, and unforgettable.
As A says, “Thank you Fabian and Mari for a morning I will never ever forget and for making this such an easy, wonderful experience.”
