4 Free Las Vegas Desert Wedding Venues

So I know Las Vegas isn’t well known for their free desert wedding venues, but we’re locals so we’ve got all the deets. These locations are best for small intimate elopements with less than 8 guests. I have arbitrarily named them so as not to give up too much to the public and keep these locations locals friendly.

1. Seven Magic Mountains

This little hidden gem is common to people driving in from California. It’s 7 towers of colorful, stacked boulders just chillin’ in the middle of nowhere. It’s an easy walk and can be accessed any time of day. Because of the crowds, we suggest having your ceremony here at sunrise for that middle of nowhere feeling. If you’re not interested in the towers, you can also just embrace the nothingness behind it and say your vows there too as well. If sunset is more your thing, consider the backend of this place where there won’t be many people.

2. Dry Lake Bed

This thing is huge. You feel absolutely tiny on it and the best thing about it is that it’s a beautiful blank slate. You can drive right up on it, which means you can do donuts, churn up some dust, say your vows, and be back on your way to the Strip in no time.

3. Cholla Cactus Central

This gem in the middle of the desert is sprawling and right up against a canyon. Sunrises are beautiful here although at any given time of day, this location is empty and isolated, making it the perfect desert wedding venue for a private couple who wants some easily accessible desert as their elopement backdrop.

4. The Caves (as of 1/2024 this desert wedding venue has been closed off.)

So they’re not really natural caves. They’re old abandoned gold mines that go deep into the Earth. They’re all graffitied but still pretty cool. You’d totally miss this location if you didn’t know where you were going, but it’s so worth the quick hike for your Las Vegas elopement ceremony and any visit, actually.

5. The Lost Road

This spot is perfect for exploring. During a cloudy sunset you can feel comfortable saying your vows in the shadow of the mountains amongst the Joshua Trees. With little to no crowds, this lost road is a gorgeous one to say your vows uninterrupted.

These are just a few our favorite free outdoor Las Vegas locations, however there are plenty more to choose from. See our
