So you’ve done the deed, now what?! There are endless ways to have a Las Vegas reception, because Las Vegas is filled with exciting and unique experiences. Pick a few things from this list and you’ll have the most unique elopement “reception” any adventurous couple could ask for!

Now, somewhere down the line someone said that a reception has to be dinner, drinks, and dancing. This is plainly not true. A reception for two (or up to twenty) can be easy in Vegas and sure, it can be dinner, drinks, and dancing, but it can also be so much more.

1 . The Haunted Museum

If you have an interest in the paranormal and all things scary, this museum is sure to be on your list. They offer a Flashlight Ghost Tour for an extra scary time.

2. Tom Devlin’s Monster Museum

This museum includes all of the scary set stuff that’s been featured in movies and TV throughout the years.

3. Rhyolite Ghost Town

Free

This one’s a little far out of town but it’s guaranteed to bring spooky vibes. It is like the title describes, a ghost town with some funky art and lots of abandoned buildings.

4. ATV Adventures

Tour and rental prices vary from $69-$600 depending on the company and what adventure you’re choosing.

You can rent some ATVs and pull them out to a trail yourself or you can go on a tour with your guests. Either way, you’ll be taking the road less traveled for your elopement and seeing sights that aren’t your typical Vegas scenery, therefore the perfect place for your very unique Las Vegas reception.

5. Kayak the Colorado River

Kayak rental will start at $60 for all day or $90 for all weekend. Guided tours start at $100 and can go up to $300 per person.

Rent some kayaks or go on a tour with your guests. Stop at any of the coves and have your officiant get you married off. The many coves and caves off the Colorado River make this option a unique one for adventure seekers.

6. Horseback Riding through Red Rock Canyon

Tours start at $69 and go up to $189.

For the horse lovers there’s a way to see Red Rock Canyon that isn’t the 13 mile loop. Take this tour on horseback and explore canyons and places that aren’t frequently seen by the typical tourist.

7. Hot Air Balloon Ride

Starting at $300 per person and up to $675 per person for a personal flight.

Get married thousands of feet above the ground. This one is a more just us type of situation, but it is unique nonetheless. See what this sprawling desert looks like from way up high and enjoy some quiet time with your lover.

8. Dune Buggy Adventures

Starts at $200 per person.

Take turns driving and catching air over some dunes, or race each other over the hills and see who wins on the day of your elopement. Y’all are both winning though, you get to marry each other!

9. Hiking

Free and up to $20 for entrance fees to National Recreation areas and state parks.

This one’s a doozy because there are so many place to hike. And whether you choose to add hiking to your day or make it part of your ceremony, there are plenty of places to do it out here. Red Rock Canyon is a tourist favorite. Lake Mead is lesser known but just as beautiful. Valley of Fire is red rocks and land like no other (maybe on Mars.). Mt. Charleston is our nearest set of mountain ranges and provides a cooler climate throughout the year for people who want to hike all year long.

10. Camping

Starts at $20 per campsite.

There’s so many beautiful places to camp in Las Vegas, mainly on the link I provided above for hiking. There are plenty of group camping locations and you can bring your own catered meal or private chef.

11. Helicopter Ride

Starts at $149 per person.

Take a helicopter ride over the Las Vegas skyline or into the Grand Canyon. There are plenty of tours to choose from and you can get married in the Grand Canyon where you’ll land for a bit to check out the sites. Your Las Vegas reception doesn’t even have to be in Las Vegas!

12. Skydiving in Las Vegas

Starts at $199 per person.

Admittedly, I haven’t done this before, but for the right couple, I’m down. With your adrenaline running like crazy you can say your vows as soon as you set foot to ground. It’d be a great way of celebrating surviving!

13. The High Roller

Starts at $23 per person for the regular pods. $60 per person for the Happy Half Hour pod.

So you can do a regular pod or an open bar pod! The deets: It takes 30 minutes to go all the way around and in the interest of providing the best information to my clients, you can, in fact, get pretty litty in 30 minutes on an open bar pod. Then you can continue on your Las Vegas reception on the Strip.

14. Ziplining at the Linq or Fremont Street

Linq $50 per person.
Fremont Street Up to $70 per person.

When I was scared to go ziplining one time in the Colorado Rockies, I was told that ziplining is kinda like riding a bike. It totally is, but these ziplines have drunk people below them and a canopy of lights above them, which is a freakin’ trip!

15. Rides at the Top of the Strat

Tower Observation Deck only $20 per person
Free Fall starts at $139 per person
Tower Observation Deck + Ride $31 per person + $5 for additional rides

You can access the top of The Strat which is called the Tower Observation Deck for drinks and amazing views. Or if you’re feeling adventurous there are a few rides at the top of the Strat Hotel and Casino on the Strip. They’re all meant to scare the living crap out of you because they all involve pretending like you’re about to go over the side of the tallest tower on the Strip. Unless you’d like to actually free fall off the side of The Strat, because that’s an option too.

16. Legacy Club at Circa

Outdoor seating starting at $200 for up to 4 guests.

This club is on the rooftop of one of Las Vegas’ newest downtown hotels, Circa. This adult only hotel has one dopest views from this 60th floor club.

17. Ultra Apex Suite at Planet Hollywood

Starting at $1500 a night.

Have your elopement in this suite at Sunset then watch the Bellagio fountains while you enjoy your cocktail hour at the top of Planet Hollywood.

18. Liftoff Lounge

Starts at $13 per person for locals.

There’s this really dope thing at Area 15 that takes you up about 130 feet in the air to enjoy the views and a drink. It’s a unique way to mingle and entertain your close VIP. The 360 degree views are worth it alone.

On the Water

19. Houseboat Rental on Lake Mead

Starts at $2600 for 2 nights for up to 6 people.

You can rent a houseboat on Lake Mead with a slide on the back of it. These cool houseboats have about 3 rooms and bathrooms and can be rented for a 3 day elopement. Trust me, there’s plenty to see on Lake Mead. You’ll be able to take your own private excursions on any of the coves you seek out. Have a chef prepare meals for you to bring along and spend your time exploring this beautiful lake.

20. Pontoon Boat Rental

Starts at $335 for half a day for up 10 people.

Rent a pontoon on Lake Mead or Lake Las Vegas. Pack up your lunch and champagne and bring 6 of your closest friends for a day on the water, and maybe a ceremony on your own private beach.

21. Yacht Rental on Lake Las Vegas

Starts at $500 and can accommodate up to 130 people.

If you don’t like the lake life and you’re looking for something a little more bougie, Lake Las Vegas has a yacht for rent on their private lake.

22. Venetian Gondola Rides

Starts at $89 per couple.

This is the water but it’s a waterway going through the middle of The Venetian. It’s still cool because you’re transported to Venice on a gondola where a man sings love songs and rows you around. You can choose an inside or outside experience, although I’ve heard the outdoor experience is better.

23. Water Sports on Lake Las Vegas or Lake Mead

Paddleboarding and kayaking rentals come complimentary with purchase of any 4 hour collection and up.
Jetskis start at $260 for one day.

If water sports are more your thing, like jetsking, paddleboarding, wakeboarding, tubing are more your speed, they’re all available as an optional activity for your Las Vegas elopement.

Culture – Art, History, and Entertainment

24. The Neon Museum

Starts at $10.
A photo walk with your photographer will cost an additional $50.

Exploring here won’t cost you too much. It’s a great place to visit for your elopement and the Neon Boneyard is a popular place for eloping couples, although their wedding packages start at $2000 for use of their facilities for your wedding. It’s a beautiful place with lots of history for your Las Vegas reception.

25. The Mob Museum

General admission to the museum starts at $29.
You can access the speakeasy without paying the admission fee.

Another location packed with Las Vegas history is this informative spot. In typical Vegas fashion, they have a speakeasy on their basement level where you have to check their website for their daily password.

26. Discovery Children’s Museum

General admission for locals starts at $13.50 per person.

Doesn’t seem like the type of spot for an elopement but if you’re a big little kid and maybe like science and art a lot, this is your spot. We take our kids all the time, although we’d probably go by ourselves if time allowed. If you’re bringing your children along for your elopement, it’s a great place to visit during your celebration.

27. Springs Preserve

General admission for locals starts at $9.95 per person.

This huge museum is part natural garden outdoor setting, part indoor museum with lots of great exhibits. They have a butterfly garden and so many beautiful trails that it’s a great spot to visit during your elopement or not.

28. Nevada State Railroad Museum

Free

There are trains galore at this railroad museum – model trains, big trains, steam trains, mini trains, all kinds of trains. It’s a beautiful spot to have an elopement but to also completely nerd out over your mutual love of transportation vehicles.

29. Meow Wolf Las Vegas

General admission for locals start at $39.

Immerse yourselves in this interactive work of art. It’s like a grocery store, but not? Who knows, but it’s colorful, weird, and truly a work of art, something so unexpected for a Las Vegas reception.

30. Tattoos

Tattoos start at $10 per tattoo off a menu. Custom tattoos start at $120.

Of course you’d like to mark the permanence of these vows, but like, Vegas style. Call any one of our very talented tattoo artists and make an appointment. Might I suggest this Black owned tattoo shop Black Spade Tattoo. Or maybe you’d like something quick and cheap, try Koolsville Tattoo, and get one of their famous $10+ tattoos.

31. Nelson Ghost Town

Free. $20 flat if you’d like to take photos here.

Not too far from Las Vegas’ bright neon lights is this ghost town nestled between a canyon and lots of cholla cactus. They have an open air wedding chapel, a plethora of old cars, buses, and even a couple of crashed planes that make for great photos and an awesome place to explore on your wedding day.

32. Tournament of Kings Dinner & Show

Tickets start at $79 per person.

Ever wanted to feel like royalty? Welp, have your wedding dinner at one of these shows and you’ll get to see how they did it in the days of knights, queens, and kinds.

33. The Awakening

Tickets start at $99 per person.

The Awakening is the newest show at the Wynn. It’s a feast for the senses. The creators of Lion King on Broadway had a hand in it so seeing this spectacle is magic.

34. X Burlesque

Tickets start at $71 per person.

You and your guests might want something a little off the beaten path, in that case this burlesque show is very Vegas and very sexy.

35. See Your Idol(s) In Person

Prices vary.

With amazing acts like Usher, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Rod Stewart, Kerry Underwood, Maroon 5, Miranda Lambert, Garth Brooks, Kelly Clarkson, Adele, and sooo many more stars who all hold Las Vegas residencies you could schedule your elopement around one of them to see a show as your “reception.” Then there’s amazing acts that come to town whenever they’re touring like Beyonce, Erykah Badu, Pink, Shania Twain, Harry Styles, you name the big time act, you can probably see them here at some point in Las Vegas. And we’re not done yet, we have festivals like The Electric Daisy Carnival and Life is Beautiful Festival. You could elope in the middle of all that craziness or you could even hold you reception dancing the night away to your favorite music.

36. Gold Spike

If you like rides and midway games, bring your guests here for thrills and lots of fun. It’s not your typical wedding experience, but you never wanted that anyway so have fun!

38. The Nerd

VIP booths start at $20.

This bar is also an arcade for all you gamers. They have a cheap bottle service and bowling for you and your competitive guests. Enjoy a night of gaming with your brand new spouse!

39. New York, New York Big Apple Rollercoaster

Starts at $25 per rider.

This might not take up a huge chunk of your time but if you want a little adrenaline rush before dinner on the Strip, this is the only rollercoaster located directly on the Las Vegas strip. Don’t forget to purchase the picture of all of you screaming at the end!

40. Container Park

Free

This cute little container park is literally made with shipping containers. On different nights there’s different types of entertainment, sometimes live bands play in a cute grassy area, silent nightclub, but there’s always a crazy big praying mantis that shoots fire from it’s antennae. In the middle there’s a crazy playground closed to kids after 9 PM. Then there’s bars, restaurants, a tattoo shop, and boba all in one spot for you to enjoy a full evening of fun. And it’s right down the street from the Fremont Street Experience.

41. Play Playground

Inside of Luxor is this really cool playground where you can have access all day and after 5 PM it’s 21+. There’s a full bar and menu and it has “20 attractions and large-scale memory, physical, and puzzle games designed for group play.” I haven’t been yet, but I’m so excited for it to open up on January 27, 2024 so I can check it out.

Boozy

42. Pioneer Saloon

A burger will start at $13.

A little piece of Las Vegas history right outside of Las Vegas. Take your rented Harley to this spot to have an authentic badass experience and enjoy dinner, drinks and the middle of the desert.

43. Lucky Day Tequila & Mezcal House

Drinks start at $13.

This funky tequila bar is gorgeous inside and will bring you all the warm feels, and no, that’s not just from the tequila. It’s the perfect location for your cocktail hour or even your dinner reception since you can rent the whole location out.

44. Velveteen Rabbit

Drinks start at $10.

Let’s say you dig the Alice in Wonderland aesthetic, this is the bar for you. It’s in the arts district and close to a bunch of other places to hang, which makes it the perfect spot for a walking cocktail hour.

45. Foundation Room

You can reserve seating or RSVP for a fee. Since this is on the Strip, I’d expect to pay anywhere between $30-$60 per person for admission and drink.

At the top of Mandalay Bay is this super gorgeous restaurant and bar with a view of the Strip. It’s a gorgeous place to throw your reception dinner and have a few drinks before you hit the Strip for some partying.

46. The Lost Distillery

Tickets start at $49 per person for Nevada residents which includes a drink ticket with 4 tastings.

Ok, so stay with me, it’s a whisky tasting experience that will leave you litty and so entertained! On top of that, if you’re a literature geek like myself, you’ll enjoy the literature-based rooms and art, like the submarine from 20 Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and a seating room straight from The Picture of Dorian Gray. If you love the sultry and the mysterious, the burlesque show will excite you, the magic show will entice you, and the dancers and ladies with snakes will top off your evening.

47. Millenium Fandom Bar

Admission is free before a certain time.
Drinks start at $15.

This awesome place is for cosplayers and pop culture art enthusiasts. The drinks are straight from a sci-fi fantasy joint. They even have an art gallery with art for purchase and for enjoying live bands. It’s a sweet place with chill vibes and lots of cool stuff to see and play with.

48. The Barbershop

Pricing unknown.

Located inside of The Cosmopolitan Hotel is an actual barbershop with a swanky ass speakeasy inside of it. They have karaoke with a live band and hold live shows.

Smoky

49. Las Vegas’ 1st and Only Dab Bar and Tasting Courtyard

Dabs start at $6.00.
Pre-Rolls start at $10.

Nuwu Dab Bar and Tasting Courtyard is a unique location for your “cocktail” hour or entire reception. It’s the only dispensary where you can consume marijuana legally. This location also boasts events like comedy nights, open mic nights, karaoke nights, industry nights, movie nights and more. Honestly, when we renew our vows we might just get stuck here all day.

51. J Karaoke

Food and drinks start at around $15.

This is a karaoke bar that has separate rooms so you can your guests can sing as loudly as you want in the privacy of your own room. Enjoy asian cuisine and alcoholic beverages and belt out your favorite songs.

52. Cat’s Meow

Entrance starts at $20 per person.

Ready to perform an epic duo to celebrate your nuptials? Welp, this is the best karaoke bar in the world, apparently, so gather your guests and forget the stage fright with a drink and just belt it, baby!

53. Dino’s Lounge

Free entrance and drinks are usually cheaper than the Strip standard.

This spot is divey in all the right ways. It’s on the Strip, but they have cheap drinks and karaoke on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 10 PM on. While it’s on the Strip it’s North from the hotels and caters to a locals crowd that sangs their asses off! It’s a great place to hang with your crew if you’re looking for something a little more chill than the Cat’s Meow.

54. Kamu Ultra Karaoke

Starts at $70 an hour for up to 9 guests.

Located inside of the Palazzo Tower in the Grand Canal Shoppes, you can rent a room for private karaoke with your VIP. You can book a package or order straight from their menu and have an evening of utter debauchery. Each room has it’s own theme and become your own little studio for a private photo shoot with your friends and family.
