I know every couple has began their wedding planning thinking, “Screw it! Let’s just elope in Las Vegas!” But a Las Vegas elopement doesn’t necessarily mean you’re giving up on having a dream wedding. It’s never “just” eloping when you do it in Las Vegas. A Las Vegas elopement can be better than the wedding of your dreams and I’ll prove it with these four reasons to elope in Las Vegas:
1. Adventure and the Great Outdoors – Unique Locations to Have Your Ceremony
In Las Vegas there is no lack of adventure to be found. Las Vegas is known for the Strip, but what a lot of people don’t know is that we have some of the most adventurous venues surrounding the Strip. Saying your vows in the intimate space of the vast desert has been both freeing and exciting for my more adventurous couples.
You can find “ceremony venues” atop a snowy Mt. Charleston, on the blank canvas of the El Dorado Dry Lake Bed, in Red Rock Canyon, along the waves of Valley of Fire, literally in the middle of the Nevada wilderness next to the Colorado River.
You can take a helicopter and land in the Grand Canyon for another unique way to say your vows. There are trails and campgrounds everywhere in Las Vegas and all within minutes of the Strip.
Some are as easy as driving up and getting out, and there are locations you can choose to scramble and climb to say your vows.
So if the Strip’s wedding ceremony offerings fall short of what you imagine for your dream wedding, look into any of Nevada’s state, National parks, or you can consult with us for all other hidden gems to include the adventure your wedding deserves. Your reception can take place on a campground and your desert can be s’mores roasting over the fire, your first dance under the stars, your first kiss with the lights of the Strip lighting your way.
2. Unique Experiences – Things To Do For Your Las Vegas Elopement
You can find unique experiences both on and off the Strip.
Las Vegas has a plethora of unique experiences that you can book for just you two or your small wedding group.
You’ve decided to elope which means a meaningful experience is exactly what you’re looking for, so imagine having your ceremony in a ghost town, getting on a party bus or driving off in a Lambo to go to your open bar cocktail (half) hour on the HighRoller at the Linq and seeing Las Vegas from new heights, and finishing your night off at an awesome grown up playground/bar/club at Gold Spike in Downtown Las Vegas.
Or you can go on a Lake Mead dinner cruise, or go kayaking or cliff diving on the Colorado River. See our growing list of Las Vegas “Reception” Ideas here.
3. World Renowned Cuisine – Everyone’s Gotta Eat For Their Elopement
Your celebration can be complete with a small reception at any of Las Vegas’s restaurants. There is no shortage of dining in Las Vegas, and whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a luxurious, world class dinner for your guests, you can find anything to settle your guests’ cravings after your adventurous celebration.
You can book your table at Tao for a luxury Asian cuisine and stay to party the night away after hours when it becomes a club. Or serve your guests family style Italian food at Pizza Rock before you hit Fremont Street to celebrate the night away.
And there isn’t a shortage of personal chefs who can create custom culinary confections, because everybody’s got to eat even when they’re celebrating. You can even have a fully marijuana infused meal created and cooked by a personal chef.
You can go as simple or as luxurious as you’d like, whatever suits you. Check out our
