This little hidden gem is common to people driving in from California and the perfect place for a desert wedding. It’s 7 towers of colorful, stacked boulders just chillin’ in the middle of nowhere. It’s an easy walk and can be accessed any time of day. Because of the crowds, we suggest having your ceremony here at sunrise for that middle of nowhere feeling. If you’re not interested in the towers, you can also just embrace the nothingness behind it and say your vows there as well. If sunset is more your thing, consider the backend of this place where there won’t be many people or choose a day that’s less popular, i.e. weekdays.
This thing is huge. And actually, there’s a few of them. You feel absolutely tiny on them and the best thing about it is that it’s a beautiful blank slate. If you want a desert wedding with unobstructed views that feels otherworldly, this might be your spot. You can drive right up on it, which means you can do donuts, churn up some dust, say your vows, and be back on your way to the Strip in no time.
Since the Dry Lake Bed is accessible by vehicle, it is one of the few very adventurous disability inclusive locations here in Las Vegas, which is why.
This gem in the middle of a bunch of cholla cactus (hence the name) is perfect for your Las Vegas desert wedding. It’s sprawling with desert fauna and flora and is tucked right up against a canyon and right next to Nelson’s Ghost Town. Sunrises are beautiful here although at any given time of day, this location is empty and isolated, making it the perfect desert wedding venue for a private couple who wants some easily accessible desert as their elopement backdrop.
J + S’s cholla cactus elopement ended with a cinematic drive on the Dry Lake Bed.
This spot is perfect for exploring. During a cloudy sunset you can feel comfortable saying your vows in the shadow of the mountains amongst the Joshua Trees. With little to no crowds, this lost road is a gorgeous one to say your vows uninterrupted, or possibly with a few donkeys.
